How the total is worked out
  1. Gold value = weight × today's rate.
  2. Wastage (VA) = weight × wastage % × today's rate.
  3. Making = gold value × making %, or weight × making ₹ per gram.
  4. Taxable value = gold + wastage + making + stones.
  5. GST = 3% of the taxable value.
  6. Total = taxable value + GST, rounded to the rupee. Any rounding is shown as its own line.
